London Day 5 - Harlow Again

Image
Hello, my friends! This post will be a little shorter because my legs were still sore and I didn't feel like doing much, but I didn't also stay in the hotel for the whole day.  Instead, there was this other side of Harlow Town Park we still had yet to discover so we went there. This looked like the more crowded part of the park and it was actually really nice and beautiful. The park also had something like a petting zoo and it was called Pets Corner. There were different farm animals and birds and it was such a cool place. After visiting Pets Corner we headed to the nearby pub called Greyhound for lunch, and there we had true English fish and chips. We were surprised at how big of a portion it was and how there was more fish than potatoes because Estonia could never! In Estonia they only give you a small piece of fish and more fries and it doesn't taste remotely as goo...

London Day 4

Image
Hi, hello! I've been procrastinating a bit, so sorry for that! Now, to my blog post about yesterday in London. So we still had 4-5 places to visit and we took our train around noon since it was a Saturday and we also had our breakfast a little bit later. We wanted to visit the Buckingham Palace first so we took an underground to Green Park. The place was busy since it also happened to be Pride Parade that day 👀 we made our way to the crowds and the Green Park before we found the Buckingham Palace. It was pretty amazing up close and there was this beautiful fountain with a nice garden, but as a typical tourist attraction, it was also rather crowded. As we moved forward, we saw London Eye from afar so we decided to go closer to get a picture of it. There, we also found Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, the places we also had on our list. We were surprised they were all so close by, but that little piece of grass by Big Ben loo...

London Day 3

Oh, hello-hello! This was the post I was supposed to do last night but Blogger app didn't stop crashing, so I'm trying to get this up today.  This was the day we properly got to discover London with our list of places we wanted to see. So we left our hotel early to take a train to Tottenham Hale and from there, jump on an underground. I've taken underground once before, not too long ago when I visited Czech Republic for a conference. Unlike Czech Republic, the underground trains are surprisingly hot, but otherwise I like how fast they could take you to different places and you always know which one to take. We left the underground in Warren Street station that took us right to Central London, and I looked at my surroundings with starry eyes and dropped jaw. This city is amazing and the architecture is so gorgeous!!!! We didn't know where to start so we just went straight ahead for a bit, and the first place on our way was Couldare Gallery which looked amazin...

London Day 2 - Harlow

Image
Hello again, my lovelies! ❤️ I think I forgot to post yesterday so there'll be two posts today! So, yesterday we didn't feel like going too far from where our hotel is and we explored the same town - Harlow itself. Harlow is a small town, about 37 kilometers from Central London and with the population of 90k+ people. The population in Harlow is nearly the same as in my hometown in Estonia - Tartu, yet Harlow definitely feels smaller. There aren't many things to do, but we still found some nice places around, such as Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens. It seemed to be something like an open air museum, small but a beautiful place. Once we were done exploring the gardens, we headed to Harlow Town Park. That was bigger than we thought and it had a little bit of everything - the lanes for cyclists and just people who were either jogging or taking a nice stroll, many people were walking their dogs there, a lit...

London Day 1

Hello and welcome to my travel blog, dear readers! I'm trying to write a little something about each day of my trip, which lasts until July 4 2023, so here we go! I hope you're ready! My first day was yesterday and it was a bit of a journey. I woke up around 6:15, with only five hours of sleep 😅 then I headed to the bus station to meet my friend and take a bus to Riga first. You got that right - I was going to board my plane from Riga airport, and this was also my first trip to Latvia. As much as I saw from the bus window, Latvia wasn't anything special, but there was this mysterious tower I thought to be Latvia's own version of Eiffel. However, it turns out that it's just Riga TV tower. The airport was about 10 kilometers out of town and we got there six hours before our flight. First, we were venturing around trying to find the restroom and passport checkpoints until we asked for the latter from the information desk. From there we got sent to security...
