London Day 2 - Harlow

Hello again, my lovelies! ❤️ I think I forgot to post yesterday so there'll be two posts today! So, yesterday we didn't feel like going too far from where our hotel is and we explored the same town - Harlow itself.

Harlow is a small town, about 37 kilometers from Central London and with the population of 90k+ people. The population in Harlow is nearly the same as in my hometown in Estonia - Tartu, yet Harlow definitely feels smaller.

There aren't many things to do, but we still found some nice places around, such as Harlow Museum and Walled Gardens. It seemed to be something like an open air museum, small but a beautiful place.

Once we were done exploring the gardens, we headed to Harlow Town Park. That was bigger than we thought and it had a little bit of everything - the lanes for cyclists and just people who were either jogging or taking a nice stroll, many people were walking their dogs there, a little pond with ducks and even something reminiscent of a little forest, which left me wondering if that park also has hiking trails.

Next, we wanted to go shopping to the Harvey Centre, but instead the map lead us to Sainsbury's. What I must say is that the traffic here is really chaotic and I still have hard time finding the right crossing so I could cross the street safely. It definitely doesn't help that my friend here seems to have a death wish and she's willing to cross the street where the cars speed by in case the right crossing is a little further away. Anyway, let me tell you a little bit about shopping in Sainsbury's now.

So this is a huge supermarket, bigger (but also cheaper) than any supermarket in Estonia. We got some snacks that we don't have in Estonia to try them so here are our ratings:
*Cherry Cola - according to my friend 8/10 since I don't drink soda or any fizzy drinks myself
*Raspberry ice tea - 10/10
*Chips - 10/10
*Muffins - 10/10
*Fruits - 0/10 because they went bad before we could eat them
*Donuts - 7/10 because we have similar tasting ones in Estonia
*Terry's Chocolate Orange - 10/10

Later my friend insisted we go out for dinner too since she saw Pizza Hut but it was delivery only. So, instead we ended up in Five Guys which is one of the best fast food places around here. Their milkshakes are also delicious and they make mean grilled cheese. Well, the regular portions of our meals were still bigger than we're used to so we had difficulty finishing it. However, the diner was a part of Water Gardens mall, which is another nice mall in Harlow and also has this beautiful promenade and fountain. Wish I could show you pictures of it too, but since this app keeps crashing on my phone, I guess I'm done with writing about the day in Harlow 😊
