London Day 4

Hi, hello! I've been procrastinating a bit, so sorry for that! Now, to my blog post about yesterday in London. So we still had 4-5 places to visit and we took our train around noon since it was a Saturday and we also had our breakfast a little bit later.

We wanted to visit the Buckingham Palace first so we took an underground to Green Park. The place was busy since it also happened to be Pride Parade that day 👀 we made our way to the crowds and the Green Park before we found the Buckingham Palace. It was pretty amazing up close and there was this beautiful fountain with a nice garden, but as a typical tourist attraction, it was also rather crowded.

As we moved forward, we saw London Eye from afar so we decided to go closer to get a picture of it. There, we also found Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, the places we also had on our list. We were surprised they were all so close by, but that little piece of grass by Big Ben looked like a nice place to hang out.

Our last place to visit would be Hyde Park so we waited for the bus to take us there, but it never came because the buses were diverted due to an ongoing Pride event. So we made our way to the nearest underground station. The undergrounds we're also very crowded, but after a couple of brain farts and taking wrong undergrounds, we finally made it to Hyde Park.

It shocked me how big this park was and a part of it was closed for some kind of a music festival. It was a long walk in that park and the river side of it looked really scenic. It even had a swimming area on the other side! We didn't go swimming but could admire the beauty of this place.

Then it was time to decide where we eat and we decided to try Taco Bell since other places seemed rather pricey and we don't have Taco Bell in Estonia. I just had cheese fries and churros, but god damn - Taco Bell has some insanely good fries! After that, we headed to the souvenir shop since the train from Harlow to London and back is also a little too pricey to visit this lovely city every day! These two days involved a lot of walking, but I didn't just make it back to hotel with sore legs, I also got a sunburn since London was rather sunny yesterday. What we managed to do, however, was to finally find our hotel without the help of Google Maps as we knew the way by our memory. And that's it for now - just look at the picture below of how many steps equals a day exploring London!
